Music Playwork

Lately, I’ve been sharing audio projects on my Soundcloud

Feel free to reach out for collaboration inquiries.

This is a mix of my vocals, some guitar samples, various edits, and some ambient tracks by other artists (ssaliva & bijijoo)

This is a mix using a personal edit of one of my favorite Bollywood songs and a spread of some experimental electronic tracks.

This mix involved a newer sound and process to me. It’s on the dancier side and incorporates some cloud rap and breaks.

You can listen to my single, Already, on Spotify.

With airy vocals and clean-cut piano chords, “Already” is an ode to individuality during difficult relationships. The single sounds similar to how the day before a breakup feels — full of hurt and heartbreak, but with traces of lightness and optimism for the future.

Already is a song that I wrote in 2015. It was the second song I ever wrote and the first I ever recorded. I sang this song at the first show I ever played in New York City, my first weekend living away from home. It was my first time sharing my own lyrics with an audience— lyrics that I honestly thought would die in my high-school journal. A lot of firsts. I volunteered to perform for a DIY event in a small, unnamed venue in Bushwick, curated by an artist I followed on Instagram. I was found by an intern at Crush, by accident. One thing led to another and she set me up to record in the humble studio (an apartment basement) of a friendly young guy named Paul Dominic, current bassist for the band, Elle King. I showed up with nothing but nerve and curiosity, the likes of which I’ve spent years since endeavoring to bring back to my music. I think back on this earnest version of myself with fellow feelings and gratitude.
